WOW BAO is hiring an in-house RECRUITER with a start-up company mentality for our team! 

Responsibilities will include all aspects of recruiting including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for Wow Bao.

Job Requirements

POSITION SUMMARY:  Lead the charge to secure the best hourly, management, corporate, and intern applicants for Wow Bao’s growth.  Responsible for all aspects of full recruitment life cycle to include job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, coordination of interviews, testing, reference checks, verbal offers, offer letters, and onboarding. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Other duties will be assigned as needed)

Must be willing and able to do the following:

  • Assess and promptly act on the hiring needs of the leadership team and store level managers.
  • Develop strong team member relationships through effective communication and follow through.
  • Collaborate with the field teams on active posting strategies and candidate progress to fill Wow Bao needs.
  • Create and post employment ads on job boards as needed.
  • Source leads for potential candidates through both passive and active applicant sources and referrals.
  • Attend Open House/Career Fairs as needed. 
  • Learn and utilize the applicant tracking system in the recruitment of internal and external candidates.
  • Complete and ensure that all steps of the standard hiring process along with all necessary record keeping within the ATS are in place for compliance. 
  • Review all applicant resumes.
  • Phone screen applicants via telephone or video technology.
  • Interview potential candidates by telephone, video technology, or in person.
  • Present appropriate candidates to leadership and managers.
  • Assist with the outside recruiter candidate registration process and tracking as needed.
  • Effectively communicate with outside recruiters on the status of their candidates.
  • Administer background and testing information to candidates.
  • Evaluate, interpret, and communicate background and testing results of candidates to leadership.
  • Complete and communicate applicant’s reference checks.
  • Work with other team members to create our Social Media strategy.
  • Learn a working knowledge of Social Media platforms.
  • Assist in special projects as needed.
  • Assist team in maintaining a clean and orderly reception area.
  • Communicate cordially, effectively, and clearly with all employees, managers, home office staff, and coworkers.
  • Communicate in English in order to comprehend and perform/follow job requirements in written and spoken direction.
  • Perform more than one task at a time.
  • Maintain a positive, pleasant attitude every shift.
  • Accept direction and constructive criticism from management.
  • Perform calmly and effectively in an extremely busy and stressful work environment.
  • Be available to work a variety of days and shifts, including weekends and increased work schedules.
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels.
  • Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

GENERAL RULES Must be willing and able to do the following:

  • Get along with others and be a team player.
  • Follow all uniform and appearance guidelines as befitting the image for the position and the Home Office.
  • Refrain from smoking for the duration of the shift.
  • Arrive to work on time and in ready to work condition.
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • May not work under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs.
  • May not resort to any type of violence, discriminatory, or harassing behavior.
  • Must successfully pass a drug and alcohol test within 90 days of hire date, where applicable.

Failure to abide by these and any other conditions of employment of the company set forth elsewhere can subject an employee to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
